About the Programme |

The department of Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology Education Program is a multidisciplinary structure which is composed of sub-disciplines namely philosophy, sociology, psychology, logic and their education. The main aim of the department is to train persons, professional teachers, researchers and academicians who have critical and analytical thinking skills in philosophy, social sciences and humanities. The language of education is Turkish. In this department, there are 1 professor, 3 assistant professors and 4 faculty members. |

In order to graduate from this programme, the students are required to successfully complete all the courses with a minimum average grade point of 3.00 out of 4.00. |

Profile of the Programme |

25% of a total 120ECTS have to be taken as elective courses in the department and related departments. (academic year x 60 ECTS) . ( The subdivisions of the elective courses in the department contain culture, class and ethnic relations, research methods in social sciences, social change, hermeneutics, historicism, human rights, multi-culturalism, etc courses). |

After completing master´s degree, graduate students are entitled to be an expert in the field of Philosopy, Logic, Sociology and Psychology. They have not only the ability of following the latest developments in the field but also the qualities which researchers are required to have in the viewpoint of philosopy and social sciences. They can also link the latest development and problems with the education they received.They can work as a teacher, advisor and academician in education institutions. |

Access to Further Studies |

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency. |
