Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Have ability to recognize different vegatative and generative organs, and understand their functions in plant life. Understand what the function of plant root systems and recognize what kind of root types are common in which taxonomic plant groups. Have ability to recognize different root metamorphosiz which are forms under different climatic and soil conditions . Recognize internal and external structure of leaves, understand the importance of morphology and figures of leaves to identify plant samples in taxonomy. Have expriences on recognation of metamorphose leaves from other vegatative plant organs. Understand types of reproduction in plants, to recognize structure, morphology and functions of reproduction organs Understand angiosperm flower and its different parts and functions. Students could understand flower formula and diagrams, and comprehension their importance in the science of taxonmoy Comprehend basic differences of flowering plants with other type of plant groups, have ability to discriminate and classify the plant groups of Angiospermae and Gymnospermea Have ability to describe fruit and types, recognize the stages from polinization step to the step from of fruit. Have ability to recognize fruit types and clasify, understand internal and external structures of seed Have ability to recognate different seed types typical for main plant groups. Aim(s) of Course |

The main aim of this course give basic information about morphology and anotomy of plant organs to students who are getting education deal with plant materials in different faculties and departement such as biology, pharmacy, agriculture, etc. Students will get ability external and internal structures of basic plant organs such as root, stem, leaves and reproductive organs. |

Course Contents |
: |
During this course and laboratory period, students will examine the external and internal morphology of a typical representative of the Angiospermae (the flowering plants), the most prominent group of plants today. Students will become familiar with the various parts of the plant such as vegetative (roots, stems and leaves) and generative (flowers, seeds and fruits) organs.
