To teach nanocarbon structures; to provide information about the methods of composite formation between polymers and nanocarbons; and to give examples of polymer/nanocarbon composites in view of their properties and the areas in which they are being utilized. |

Course Contents |
: |
Carbonnanotubes and graphenes when mixed with polymers in appropriate ratios by using methods suitable for effective and homogeneous mixing create composites having extraordinary physical properties. The most important properties improved in these composites can be summarized as increased strength, increased electrical and thermal conductivity and increased gas barrier properties. In this course, information on nanocarbon structures will be given and then methods of composite formation between polymers and nanocarbons will be discussed and finally various examples of polymer/nanocarbon composites will be discussed in view of their properties and the areas in which they are being utilized. |
