To know Sunni teology school and explain its principal views To count contemporary Islamic sects and political-religious movements To know such Islamic sects as Imami Shi´a, Zaydiyya and Ismailiyya in terms of their current position, geographical distribution, principal doctrines and literature To know the genesis of Babism-Bahaism, and Ahmadiyya as well as their principal doctrines, geographical distribution, and literature To know the genesis of An-Nusayriyah The Druze, and The Yazidi as well as their principal doctrines, geographical distribution, and literature To know the Islamic sects adopted by the Turks throughout history To explain the genesis of Alavism- Bektashism and their religious, historical, social and cultural background To determine similarities and differences between Anatolian Alevism and Shi´ism To know Political Islamism, Islamic Modernism and Jadidism To analyse the effects of globalization on Islamic sects
