Aim(s) of Course : To make an inquiry about PAGE techniques as theoretical and practical

Course Contents : Preparation for protein isolation (preparation of buffers, effects of buffer concentrations on pH, preventing buffer contamination, salts, metal ions and chelators, inhibitors, storage, temperature etc. Reducing agents Detergents Protein solubilization Proteas inhibitors Gel electrophoresis under denaturing conditions, Gradient gels, SDS-Urea gels, Molecular weight determination, Protein Quantitation (densitometry), Gel electrophoresis under nondenaturing conditions, Isoelectric focusing and 2D gel electrophoresis.
