Learning Outcomes of the Course : Analyzes themes for designing woven fabrics in line with contemporary fashion trends.
Transforms sketches into designs and practices weaving using weave, warp-weft density, and material selection.
Creates reinforced (warp-weft) weaving fabric designs. Prepare launched (warp-weft) weaving designs
Presents and defends his/her design project; sketches, selections, intended purpose of the apparel and home textile.

Aim(s) of Course : Understanding the steps of creating collections based on fashion concepts. Designing woven fabrics for apparel and home textiles in line with fashion trends. Weaving prototype fabrics.

Course Contents : Preparing storyboards, design sketches and colorways based on fashion and textile trends for apparel and home textiles. Creating fabric collections and weaving them on armured loom using overshot weaves.
