Learning Outcomes of the Course : Defines histological properties of mouth, cheeks, lips, teeth and salivary glands
Defines the general histological properties of gastrointestinal tracts.
Comprehends the relationship between function and structure in esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon.
Knows the histological features of exocrine parts of gastrointestinal system glands ,liver, gall bladder and pancreas.
Defines the histological properties of urinary tract and kidneys within the urinary system.
Comprehends the relationship between function and structure in kidney and urinary tract.

Aim(s) of Course : Aim of this course is to teach the histological features of organs in human´s digestive and urinary systems.

Course Contents : Histologic features of mouth, oral cavity, cheeks, lips, tongue, teeth and major salivary glands, General histological features of digestive tract, Relations between structure and function of Esophagus, Stomach, Small Intestine, Large Intestine, Histologic features of exocrine parts of digestive system related glands (Liver, Pancreas and Gallbladder), Histologic characteristics and Relations between structure and function of Kidneys and Urinary passages
