Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows and applies the historical dance forms.
Achieves aesthetics approach to the actor´s own body by studying on body positions, and understands its importance and puts it into practice.
Improves his body´s dance habit and culture using the figures of different rhythms and puts it into practice.
Learning the culture of dance developed in different eras, presents an approach on physical form of the character in the periodic atmosphere.
Knows and applies the basic steps of historical dances.
Knows and applies the basic steps of characther dances.
Knows and applies of greetings used in the historical and character dances.
Uses and applies the historical and character dances with choreography arrangements according to the characteristics of the period.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to teach history and character dance within the stage discipline, gain flexibility to the student´s own natural mechanisms when he plays the role, and teach the basic dance steps of dance that help students comprehend the characteristics atmosphere of the period he lives in.

Course Contents : The main positions in historical western dances ( legs and foot), positions of bowing in that periods. The historical dances (gavotte, minuet, polonaise, waltz, polka, quadrille)

Language of Instruction : Turkish

Work Place : Dans Studio.
