Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to help students comprehend, with musical analysis methods, the structural features of the works selected from the development stages of polyphonic music , especially from 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th century repertoire, and these analysis are intended to contribute to composing.

Course Contents : The works selected from music repertoire are examined either ´Partition Analysis on´ or ´listening Analysis´ methods. Harmony analysis carried out on partition form a basis for the explanation of forms. The structural characteristics of works are comparatively studied.
