Learning Outcomes of the Course : Understands the importance of nutrition for the health of mother and child
Meets energy and nutrient requirements of pregnant and lactating mothers on the health of both mother and baby understand their effects.
Makes the daily menu planning appropriate for adults, pregnant women, and lactating women to meet energy and nutrient requirements.
Children aged 0-6 years to meet energy and nutrient requirements makes the daily menu planning.
Knows, correct methods of foods preparation, cooking and storage.
Defines basic concepts and principles of nutrition.
Explains the basic structure and functions of nutrients.

Aim(s) of Course : To express the importance of nutrition, to know what to do for a healthy diet, to know about nutrition insufficiency and problems and choosing proper food for nutrituon.

Course Contents : Definition and importance of nourishing, feeding elements, food, enriching food, pregnant woman nourishing, harms of bad nourishing, nourishing problems in children, proper nourishing for 0-6 years od children, making a menu for pre school children, hygene during food prepration.
