Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Has the basic knowledge for conceptualization of political ideas.
Explains the basic terms of politcs and the historical developments of political thought. Synthesizes information from areas of communication and political thought for having an interdisciplinary perspective about communication. Explains the contemporary concepts with its historical origins like as freedom, equality, justice, participation, public opinion, etc. Understands and explains the connections between the history of communication and the history of political thought.
Interprets comparatively the importance and process of political communication by having basic terms and historical knowledge about politics, communication and political communication.
Understands and explains the connections between the history of communication and the history of politics.
Explains the contemporary issues related to the concepts such as ideology, power, public opinion, propaganda, civil society, persuasion, election, democracy etc.
