Learning Outcomes of the Course : Explains the film narratives in the different regions of the world with historical background.

Recognizes the Independent World Cinema and can explain and compare the narratives with Hollywood Cinema.
Recognizes basic concepts related to film theory through various readings of films.
Explains the connections between cinema and various branches of arts.

Aim(s) of Course : The purpose is to examine in detail the film production and film narratives at different regions of the world in historical background.

Course Contents : The focus of the course is mainly the independent world cinema as well as Hollywood cinema and it examines the film narratives and production at different regions in the world with historical, aesthetic, cultural and ideological perspective.
