Knows the importance of Unifying Education Act for Turkish educational history
Comprehends the important place of teacher training schools for higher education
Comprehends the basic principles of Turkish educational system
Realises the importance of the Village Enstitutes for teacher training
Knows and understands the history of preschool teacher education
Knows the process of development in preschool education in our country

Aim(s) of Course : The main goals of this course are, to understant the importance of Turkish educational history, to understand general characteristics of Turkish education before Islam, to understand structure of Turkish education in Islam era, to comprehend changes and development of Turkish education in the Republic period, to realize changes and development of Turkish education in recent era.
