Examines the role of infusing critical thinking skills in today’s standards driven curriculum
Develops lessons to infuse critical thinking into existing content area.

Aim(s) of Course : The basic purpose of this course to attempt to have the learner become aware of critical and creative thinking. In addition, this course aims to increase the students´ capabilities of the intellect so that they acquire, analyze, and apply complex information; to locate, communicate, and produce information effectively; to solve problems quickly and efficiently; and to be committed to lifelong learning in their teaching practice. Having acquired all these skills, they are expected to infuse them into language learning and teaching. This course blends theory and practical applications for the teachers so that they provide opportunity for their students to become ready for the lifelong journey of being critical thinkers. Engaging Students in Critical Thinking makes a positive difference in academic levels for students and is rich with material from experts in the field as baseline resources for curriculum strategies. Works from Robert Fisher, Arthur Costa, Robert Ennis, Robert Marzano, Robert Swartz, Richard Paul, and Robert Sternberg are but a few of the resources discussed
