Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows and applies saloon dance forms.
Knows and applies saloon dance steps.
Develops an aesthetic quality on his/her body by practicing on the axis of the body positions.
Develops and applies the dance habit and culture of own his/her body by using the figures of different rhythms.
Develops an approach on the physical form of the character in the atmosphere of the period by learning the culture of dance developed in different eras.
Knows and applies the basic steps of historical dances.
Knows and applies the salutations used in the history and character dances.
Uses and applies the historical dances with choreographic arrangements according to the characteristics of the period.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to teach students basic dance steps reflecting the characteristics of a particular period and to help them gain physical flexibility while transforming their natural mechanism into the character by studying historical and character dances within the sense of stage discipline.

Course Contents : The main positions in historical western dances (arms and feet). Greeting forms of different periods. The historical dances : Gavotte, Minuet, Polonaise, Waltz, Polka, Quadrille.

Language of Instruction : Turkish

Work Place : Dans Studio.
