Theoretical  Comprehends Turkish Language and Literature’s historical and contemporary material by means of scientific method and theoretical knowledge.
 Knows and realizes the importance of Turcology’s fundamental concepts.
 Analayses language and literature materials with comparative methods.
 Acquires the ability of working on literary texts individually or in a group.
 Acquires the ability of accessing related reference guides and using them effectively.
 Is able to use basic information technologies necessary for undergraduate studies and future career and raises the capacity of application.

Conceptual/Cognitive  Is able to follow the historical development process of Turkish Language and Literature.
 Learns the theoretical foundations between literature, language and culture.
 Comprehends and is able to discuss old and new texts.
 Have an intellectual background with comprehending concepts of field, transferring the knowledge, communicating with colleagues.

Competence to Work Independently and Take Responsibility  Comprehends the position of Turkish Language and Literature in the world languages and literatures.
