About the Programme |

Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems programme aims to provide nationally and internationally recognised educational, research and application opportunities to its students with its academic members of staff on the basis of equipping the students with the necessary skills and knowledge for identifying, modelling and analysing remotely sensed data, understanding satellite sensors and platforms to utilise in multi-disciplinary research. |

Profile of the Programme |
: |
The aim of the programme is to provide students with the theoretical background and practical skills in remote sensing and GIS modelling for the purposes of multi-disciplinary research, analysis and application by incorporating the techniques of the particular field with fields of engineering including geology, mining, geophysics, cartography, environment, agriculture and civil engineering, as well as fields of urban and regional planning and landscape architecture. |

Occupational Profile of Graduates |

The graduates of the programme will be able to pursue careers in public sector institutions including Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation, Department of Housing and Urban Development in municipalities, Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, research institutes and stations as well as private sector institutions including, planning and design offices and Environmental NGOs. |

Access to Further Studies |

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency. |
