About the Programme |

Master´s program in Early Childhood Education aims to prepare teachers and researchers dedicated to excellence in the field of early childhood education (Pre-K).
Our students will have the competence to utilize in different teaching contexts the knowledge they obtain by focusing on the development and the most effective ways of learning of young children. Through theoretical approaches and empirical research, professional coursework also aims to foster the ability to prepare, apply, and evaluate plans that are appropriate for pre-school programmes. It is also a priority to help students gain a professional and effective working style with the pre-school children, their families and other fellow workers in the area. |

In order to graduate from this programme, the students are required to successfully complete all the courses with a minimum average grade point of 3.00 out of 4.00. |

Profile of the Programme |

Students in this program are prepared to teach in diverse environments, including schools and daycare centers in public and private institutions, which serve children from birth to age of 6 and their families. We aim to enable our students to become outstanding early childhood teachers, decision makers, and intellectual and ethical leaders. Honoring the importance of understanding children’s development and learning in context, the Master´s program especially emphasizes collaboration with families and other professionals. |

Occupational Profile of Graduates |

The graduates from the Master’s stage in the degree program in Early Childhood Education become experts in the fields of early childhood development, education, management, and research in particular. The education is based on research focusing on early childhood and teaching. The graduates from the Master’s programme can also continue their education to the doctorate programme. |

Access to Further Studies |

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency. |
