About the Programme |

The program of "Master with thesis in Medical Biology" provides students with the necessary information and skills on treatment and diagnosis of genetics diseases using molecular biology and molecular genetics techniques. In this regard, this program provides them with experience and ability on DNA isolation and PCR from different kinds of tissues. In addition to those, participants who completed master degree in Medical Biology Department learn how to culture cell and tissue samples, how to obtain chromosomes and how to interpret results. Students graduated successfully from this program can attend a doctorate program or they can get a job in health facilities and industries. |

Profile of the Programme |

The newly graduates of medical biology should know and explain the structure and function of cell and organelles, function of tissue and organ systems, structure of genetics materials, genetics diseases and causative genes of diseases, structure of genes, diseases occurred as a result of gene mutations, inheritance patterns, analysis and investigation of molecular and cytogenetics studies, and structural and quantitative anomalies of autosomal and sex chromosomes. |
