About the Programme |

Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology Education Program has over 200 bachelors degree students with nearly up to 40 students graduate each year. Also 40 new students enroll every year through entrance exams based on admission to higher education. The department Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology Education Program has a multidisciplinary structure which is composed of four sub-disciplines. These disciplines are philosophy, sociology, psychology and logic. During the academic study based on a five-years undergraduate education; Students study the main discussions of philosophy, sociology, psychology and logic sub-disciplines and skills and knowledge which entegrated educational sciences required by the education system.
The modern analytical, quantitative and qualitative methods of social sciences and philosophical approach are emphasized, not merely as tools but as part of an overall approach to train students in sytematic and independent critical thinking.
The language of education is Turkish. In this department there is 1 professor, 3 assistant professors and 4 faculty members |

In Turkish Higher Education Institutions, the acknowledgment of the Bachelor´s diploma for a university is organized with the regulations related to double majors and subspeciality and the transition between Associate Degree programs and undergraduate program. To be successful in this program, students are required to successfully complete all the courses to meet a minimum of 240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum of GPA of 2.00/4.00. |

Profile of the Programme |

Sudents in Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology programme must take courses which bound theoretical courses to basic field of Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology.
As well as theoretical courses, students must take courses for the teaching profession that are required to take the necessary knowledge and skills. In addition, compulsory courses students can take elective courses from three main fields that are related to their interested areas. Our students should take elective courses in and out of their fields with the amount of 25 per cent of the education program which is totally 300 ECTS. |

Occupational Profile of Graduates |
: |
Those who have received their BA degree can work as a teacher of high school in Department of the Ministry of Education (MEB). Also when taking a certificate of psychological counseling and guidance, graduates can work as a guidance counselor in private schools, private training centers and college. After completing 5-years becholar´s degree, graduates can take master´s and doctoral degree in the field of Philosophy, Sociology and Education. Then they can upgrade their careers, and they can be a part of higher education institutions.

Access to Further Studies |

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology Education and related area if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of “Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee”, which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview. |

To be able to finish undergraduate degree, students must complete all courses, applications and workshops that are included in the program, gain two hundred and forty (240) ECTS credit requirements in total in undergraduate level and obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00. |
