About the Programme |

Landscape Architecture Program, which started in early 1970s has a vision to advance in education, research and application fields. The program pioneers teaching and research activities in landscape planning and landscape design at various spatial scales and aims to compete in these fields at national and international levels with support of its motivated faculty staff. The mission of the department is to develop methods for education, research and to share outcomes of these efforts at the largest extent. Its main target is to achieve planning and design policies, concepts and practices together with social and economic needs while respecting the ecological integrity of environment through an integrated program of teaching and research. |

In Turkish Higher Education Institutions, the acknowledgment of the Bachelor´s diploma for a university is organized with the regulations related to double majors and subspeciality and the transition between Associate Degree programs and undergraduate program. To be successful in this program, students are required to successfully complete all the courses to meet a minimum of 240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum of GPA of 2.00/4.00. |

The purpose of the program is to train landscape planners, designers and scientists who develop themselves by following innovations and integrating their creative identity with the understanding of life, environment and open space for leading the future and use the knowledge produced in research and application fields for public interest.

Occupational Profile of Graduates |

Graduates of this program can be employed at Ministry of Environment and Urbanism, Ministry of Forestry and Water Works, Development Planning and Parks and Recreation Areas Departments of Municipalities, Environmental Research Institutes, specifically working on planning, design, natureconservation, environmental management, EIA, SEIA. Graduates can also work in private sector in Plannind and Design Studios, building constraction companies, companies acting in tourism and recreation sector and national and international environmental agencies. |

Access to Further Studies |

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of “Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee”, which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview. |

Graduation Requirements |

To be able to finish undergraduate degree, students must complete all courses, applications and workshops that are included in the program, gain two hundred and forty (240) ECTS credit requirements in total in undergraduate level and obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00. |
