Learning Outcomes of the Course : Gain input in basic properties and structural problems of Turkish economy
Evaluate both historical and current economic problems of Turkey
Help to evaluate Turkish economic policies
Help to explain relationships between different periods in Turkish Economy
Make a historical evaluation of how capital in Turkey is saved and used

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to analyze Turkish economy with its historical and structural elements. The formation of economic policies, and internal and external factors that affect these formations, institutional regulations, related data will be covered in a casual perspective as a whole.

Course Contents : Classical Theory of International Trade, International Trade Theory in Terms of Supply, Demand, Theory of International Trade, International Trade Theory General Equilibrium Analysis, Modern Theory of International Trade, Economic Growth and International Trade Theory, Economic Development and Foreign Trade, Terms of Trade, Foreign Economic Policy and the Tools of the Customs Tariff, Non-Tariff Tools, quotas, subsidies, Export Promotion and Import Substitution Policies, Globalization and Regionalization: Trends in Theory of Customs Unions, GATT, WTO, WB Applications, International Trade in Services.
