Learning Outcomes of the Course : Associates social structure with social organization, explains the functions of social organization.
Explains Sociology of institutions, and the relationship between social institutions and structures of other institutions.
Explains the functions of social institutions and their overt and covert.
Explains social institutions their reciprocal relations with each other, makes the main analysis of the social structure.
Develops a critical approach on the social structures and social institutions.

Aim(s) of Course : The main purpose of sociology of institutions is to give basic information to undergraduate students about social institutions, and is to develop a critical approach about the functions of these institutions in the social structure at the same time.

Course Contents : As a subfield of sociology, content of the sociology of institutions the importance of social institutions, relationships of inter- institutions. In this course,some of the key institutions such as formal and informal organizations (organizations), the system concept, instituition-union relations, functions of institutions and family, politics, etc.. will be examined .
