Learning Outcomes of the Course : Analyses the dynamic structure of Turkey-EU relations.
Provides students with the ability to critically analyse Turkey-EU relations.
Provides students with the ability to analyse member states´ approaches and the policy-making process with regard to Turkey-EU relations.
Provides students with the ability to examine developments in Turkey-EU relations within the theoretical and conceptual framework.

Aim(s) of Course : The main objective of the course is to explore developments in EU-Turkey relations and Turkish membership process. In this context, it analyses the major policy issues and examines the ways in the parties have approached to these issues.

Course Contents : This course introduces students to conceptual and theoretical explanation of EU-Turkey relations. In addition, it provides knowledges about the future directions of the EU-Turkey relations. This course will deal with EU-Turkey relations since 1963 of Association Agreement between the parties. It will explore main political and economic issues between Turkey and the EU on the way of Turkish accession to the EU.
