Recognize the vegetable and ornamental plant species and varieties grown in the world and in Turkey; know their plant, agronomic and ecological characteristics; discuss their growing areas and production problems; understand the basic concepts and subjects about the origin centers of plants, cultivation techniques and garden establisment |

Terms of vegetable and ornamental plants, their differences from other cultivated plants, the importance of vegetables for nutrition and health, the place of vegetables and ornamental palnts in world´s and country´s economy, origin centers, garden establisment, propogation techniques, preperation of soil and sowing-transplanting places, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, pollination, and help to pollination subjects. |
