To teach students the fundamental concepts and applications of agro-ecology and the factors affecting crop production. |

Course Contents |
: |
Definition of ecology and agricultural ecology, components (Producer, consumer, decomposer), principles (energy flow, material cycles), and productivity of natural ecosystems, natural and agro-ecosystem differences, agricultural production systems, energetic (light, temperature, gravity) and other (carbon dioxide, water, salinity, acidity and nutrient) environmental factors affecting plant production which is the basis of all other production systems. |
