Aim(s) of Course : it is aimed to teach the auxiliary chemicals used in textile sector and their properties to students successfully by lectures and demonstration.

Course Contents : İn this lesson, textile auxilary substances and their classification will be told. Function of auxilary substances used in dyeing and printing process and their properties, surfactants, various dyeing and printing materials different in functions, sequester materials, dispersing agents and solubilized substances, leveling and retarding agent, thickening agents used in printing and continuous dyeing process, migration inhibitors and hydrotropic agents, last treatment agents in improuing the fastness properties and the others, foaming agents and anti-foaming agents, fiber lubrication, softening agents ore and their chemical structures will be examined in detail by lectures and demonstration.
