Aim(s) of Course |

The main purpose of this course is to understand and interpret educational practices starting from the education in the Turkish Hun Empire, to the education in Göktürks, Uighurs, Karahans, Ghaznavids, Seljuks, and Ottomans; to explain innovations and practices in the field of education in the Republic of Turkey from the aspects of the history of Turkish education and culture. |

The importance of the history of the Turkish education in terms of education. The education and the institutions training teachers before the republic. Turkish Educational Revolution 1: Historical background, of the revolution along with its philosophical, intellectual and politic foundations. Turkish Education Revolution 2: The law of education and teaching: İts historical foundations, content, application and importance : Secularism in Turk Education System.Turkish Education Revolution 3: İntegretional education and Girls’ education, alphabet reporm, national schools, public houses . Principles that Educational system of the Republic of Turkey is based on. Rural institutions , educational institutions and high schools of teachers. Universities and training teachers. Latest improvements in Turkish Education. |
