Aim(s) of Course : Explaining the changes and progress of Turkish Republic that became modern through the foundation of the state and the revolutions of Atatürk until today.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include the notion of revolution, the reasons which led to Turkish Revolution, the reasons of the collapse of Ottoman Empire, struggles to rescue Ottoman Empire, Ideological Movements, The First World War, arrival of Atatürk to Anatolia and congresses, opening of Turkish Grand National Assembly, Independence War, foreign policies, cease-fire in Mudanya, Lausanne Conference
