Learning Outcomes of the Course : Explains the basic concepts of social psychology and the theories related to these concepts. (theories about social influence, conformity, attitudes, attitude formation)
Distinguishes the main differences among social psychology, sociology and psychology , define and explain each one.
Outlines the basic workings of the history of the development of social psychology and identifies with the names of people who contributed to this discipline.
Describes the methods and techniques used in research in social psychology.
Analyzes the elements of the person which is a factor in the socialization process.
Integrates and reaches generalizations about the impact of social influence,group processes, culture and society on personality and self development.
Evaluates the social influence on a person´s attitude and behavior.
Explains and analyses attitude, propaganda and the process of attitude change.

Aim(s) of Course : This course aims to improve students understanding of social psychological explanations for social influence and interaction, the research methodologies commonly used to understand social influence and interaction.

Course Contents : This course offers a broad introduction to social psychology, the scientific study of human social influence and interaction, the various ways people think about, affect, and relate to one another. The course will cover topics such as the research in social psychology, group influences on person behavior, persuasion, attitudes, social cognition and interpersonal relationships etc..
