Learning Outcomes of the Course : 1. Students are supposed to have the ability to learn and teach the basics of genetics. 2. Students gain the ability to solve and provide supervision about problems in genetics.

7 Recombination in eukaryotes, gene types and regulation of genes in living systems. Board and pencil. Drawing the figures of the lecture on board.
8 Midterm exam. Written examination. Evaluation of the results of the examination.
9 Idiotype, genotype, phenotype and phenocopy Board and pencil. Lecture presentation.
10 Studies of Mendel. Board and pencil. Explanation of the monohybrid, dihybrid and trihybrid studies of Mendel on board.
11 Gene interactions and the implementation of Khi-square test in genetics. Board and pencil. Explaining the genetic implementation of Chi-square method on board.
12 Genetic linkage. Board and pencil. Genetic linkage, calculation of the distance between genes on board.
13 Recombination in bacteria. Board and pencil. Drawing and explanining the recombination event in bacteria.
14 Protein synthesis and its association with genetics. Board and pencil. Drawing and explaining the protein synthesis on board.
