To determine the current manifestations of the earliest Islamic sects
To describe sectarian geography of Islamic world
To determine the vital problems of the Islamic world
To explain the pricipal concepts interested in the contemporary Islamic movements
To know the literature on the contemporary Islamic movements
To analyse the contemporary Islamic movements according to their political and religious attitudes
To determine the intellectual background of contemporary Islamic movements
To describe the geographical and denomination distribution of the Islamic world

Course Contents : The political-religious movements existed in the contemporary Islamic World and their contents; The factors that led to the rise of contemporary Islamic movements; The main factors that shape today´s Islamic thought; The contemporary Islamic movements existed in recent years; Political Islamism; Islamic Modernism
