Learning Outcomes of the Course : 1. Learns the behavior of bar systems from construction systems.
2. Creates the model of bar systems.
3. Analyzes the isostatic bar systems.

Aim(s) of Course : Explanation of the behaviour of the one-dimensional systems. Calculation of the internal forces of simple structural elements under external loads.

Course Contents : Basic concepts of structural engineering, basic definitions of one dimensional systems, internal forces, drawing diagrams of internal forces, calculation of the systems according to moving loads. Behavior of simple beams, console beams and movable beams under stable and dynamic loads. Influence lines. Gerber beams. Three hinged arches and frames. Truss systems.
