Learning Outcomes of the Course : Recognizes and classifies composite materials.
Obtains information on the difference and the properties of natural and modern composite materials,
Knows grained composite varieties, use and so on.
Gains knowledge about special textured surfaces and the production of precast elements
Knows fiber reinforced composites, metals, polymers, and so on. materials
Gets information about the layered composites such as glass, metal, wood, polymer and so on

Aim(s) of Course : Explains the physical, mechanical. and so on. properties of the composite materials used in architecture with examples; gains the ability to choose the most suitable material for the purpose and use and production methods in design and implementation phases.

Course Contents : Classification and identification of composite materials. The difference and the properties of composite materials, natural and contemporary; The grained composite varieties, use and so on. ; Special textured surfaces and the production of precast elements. Fiber reinforced composites, metals, polymers, and so on.; Layered composites such as glass, metal, wood, polymer and so on.
