Learning Outcomes of the Course : 1. Understands the effect of the change and the cultural process starting with the, Turks in Anatolian on architecture
2. Acquires sensitivity to the basic knowledge and meaning of Turkish architectural heritage
3. Analyzes the relationships of architectural changes in the society, culture, economics, geography and so on.
4. Understands the complexity of ancient architectural process in Anatolia,  builds new methods and designs out of critical comments.
5. Understands the changes and causes in the architecture of different regions in line with ´place´ and ´local´ concepts .
6. Summarizes the general architectural features of the Seljuk and Ottoman periods of art.
7. Defines the art and architecture of the Ottoman period with its certain eras and general characteristics.

Aim(s) of Course : In accordance with the teachings of the history of architecture, to understand Anatolian Turkish architectural design theories, meeting the rich architectural heritage, so that a better assessment to be made for today´s architecture and design, to create a strong historical background for students.

Course Contents : Change and development of the period in Anatolia starting with art and architecture activities of Great Seljuks in 11th century until the 20th century.
