Psycholinguistics asks five basic questions: how is language acquired? how is it perceived? how is it processed? how is it stored? and how is it recalled? Among these questions, how the language is acquired is the subject of a separate course in the program. For that reason, four of these questions make up the basic content of this course. Students explore the relation between language and mind and the answers to the basic questions by discussing studies in the field. additionally, how information acquired in the course is going to be used in language teaching is one of the aims of this course. |
