Learning Outcomes of the Course : Student identifies a thesis topic to be studied in elementary education (math education, science education and social studies education)
Examines books, articles and other materials regarding selected thesis topic.
Investigates the thesis topic by using scientific research methods.
Uses data collecting tools appropriate for the thesis topic.
Collects data from samples appropriate for thesis topic.
Analyzes the data.
Describes results derived from analysis.
Interprets results in the light of previous research results and her/his own ideas.
Writes thesis as a scientific research report.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to help students to investigate a topic selected in elementary education (math, science and social studies education), collect and analyse data, to describe and interpret results in the light of previous research findings and her/his own ideas, and finally to write thesis as a scientific research report.

Course Contents : Identification of thesis topic in elementary education, literature review of related books, articles and materials, scientific research methods, data collection tools, analysis of results, description and interpretation of results, the process of writing the thesis as a scientific research report.
