Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows the historical process of art especially through the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods
Understands the history of art education in today´s art and realizes that in order to develop the necessary critical approach
Knows about art culture, aesthetic awareness, artistic criticism, art ethics and science.

Aim(s) of Course : To teach the student the formation and evolution of the plastic arts of Middle Ages and Early Modern by their social, intellectual, political, and economic dimensions.

Course Contents : Byzantine Art, Roman Art, Gothic Art, Pre-Renaissance, Early Renaissance, High Renaissance, Central and Northern European countries, The Art of the Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque Art
