Learning Outcomes of the Course : Understands the importance of correct transfer of informations about the Prophet Mohammad.
knows the main concepts of Hadith Methodology
Lists the arbitrariness of the narration and methods of hadith learning and teaching
Understands and interprets the requirements for rawis and Carh-Tadil narrators
Analyzes the kinds of hadith in terms of acceptance or rejection

Aim(s) of Course : To study the principles laid in order to determine the authenticity of hadiths and to teach the academic terminology of the field

Course Contents : The importance of hadith in Islam and its main concepts (Sunnah, Habar, Asar, Hadith); works of hadith in the period of the Companions; beginning of the Isnad activities;beginning of the Carh-Tadi lactivities; the transition from oral to written narration; the resources of Methodology of Hadith; riwayah and rawi; requirements for rawis; marwi; kinds of hadith.
