Learning Outcomes of the Course : Know the definition of child abuse.
Know that types of child and adolescent abuse (physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, economic abuse, incest, etc.).
Know the definition of child neglect.
Know child neglect types (physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, economic abuse, incest, etc.).
Know the status of child and adolescent abuse and neglect in Turkey and the world
Know legal regulations about child abuse in Turkey and responsibilities of health care professionals.
Know medical approaches for abused and neglected children and adolescents to analysis and evaluation, ability of thinking

Aim(s) of Course : To provide information about the concepts of child and adolescent abuse and neglect. to gain skills and experience about approaches for individuals who have suffered from abuse and neglect of children and adolescents

Course Contents : Definition and types of child exploitation and neglect, causes, signs and treatment approaches. Responsibilities of health professionals, forensic medicine practices and legal responsibilities
