Aim(s) of Course : At the end of this course, students gain the skills in spatial analysis. They also recognize the elements in forming the space design in terms of its functionality. Students also analyze human actions and areas for these actions. Depending on the needs of the user, they acquire the ability to create functional diagrams. They realize the impact of these needs on their designs.

Course Contents : Space: definition of space, concept of space in interior design, elements forming the space, human actions, fields of action, functionality in space, principles of organization for functionality, analysis of space in structures (office, housing, education, business, culture, health, entertainment and religion) space analysis, aims of analysis, methods of analysis.
