Course Contents : Identify Turkic peoples, languages and dialects. Identify peoples and their languages which Turkic peoples in relation with, comprehend relations between them.

Turkish sources: Divanu Lugati’t-Turk, Shecere-i Terakime etc; foreign sources: Arabian, Persian, Chinese, Byzantium, Russian, Armenian, Hungarian sources. Reviewing the part about Turkic tribes in Divanu Lugati’t-Turk. Verbal lecture, using visual and audial material, student preparation, resource persons.
2 Knowledge about Turkic peoples in historical sources. Assessment quality of concepts like tribe, notion, people. Reviewing dictionaries, sociology sources, parts from itineraries. Verbal lecture, using visual and audial material, student preparation, resource persons.
3 Turks in Turkey and neighboring areas: Cyprus, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Romania, Irak, Iran (Azerbaijani, Turkmenian, Qashqai, Afshar, Bayat, Khalaj, Qajars, Karapapak, Ebi Verdi, Shahsevens and Karadakh, Hamse, Sunghur people) Syria.
