Aim(s) of Course |

The course aims to help students grasp preschool children´s readiness for elemetary school and the factors that affect readiness, learning the relationship between language and literacy, explaining the duty of education professionals and parents by evaluating school maturity. |

Course Contents |
: |
Evaluation of readiness for elementary school and responsibilities of parents and educational professionals in transition to elementary school is taught by lecturing. The signaficance of early childhood education and elementary school in child´s life, readiness for elementary school and factors affecting it, and the relationship between language and literacy. |
