Learning Outcomes of the Course : To be able to analyze critically the social and political developments that shaped the period after the First World War.
To be able to establish a relationship between these developments.

Aim(s) of Course : This course examines international political and diplomatic developments between 1789, from the French Revolution, to 1989, the destruction of the Berlin Wall. This covers a period of two centuries during which the diplomatic scene and map of Europe was transformed drastically.

Course Contents : Age of Nationalism and Imperialism 1850-1914, World War I and the Russian Revolution, Twentieth Century Culture/The Depression Dictatorships and World War II, Recovery and Conflict and the Recent Past.
