Learning Outcomes of the Course : Defines Materials and Construction Systems and Detailing logic in Divider Systems.
Expresses how Brick, Stone, Wood, Glass, Metal materials are applied.
Explains production methods of materials.
Knows ceiling systems, their standards and regulations in terms of their acoustic design.
Chooses appropriate materials for the sections of the building.

Aim(s) of Course : This course aims to give the information and materials to be used in interior spaces in terms of technique and technology in order to achieve the utmost comfort and it also expects the students to produce their own designs.

Course Contents : Horizontal and vertical divider systems: Definition and classification, construction and design criteria. Section arrangements based on materials in building elements and systems; their application methods and techniques in interior design. Coating and surface creation techniques. Covering of floors, walls and ceilings; their classifications and detailing of materials.
