Aim(s) of Course : The main purpose of this course is to give students the capacity to understand the politics of Turkey.

Course Contents : This course presents the development of Turkish political life through primary sources and materials. In the first part of the course, political processes in the Ottoman era, state-society relations, the foundation of Turkish Republic and post-Republic era till the introduction of multi-party political system are examined.
