Knows the subject, field, method, basic concepts and literature of moral and political philosophy Learns the basic concepts of islamic ethical and political philosophy, moral and poitical theories in islamic philosophy, religious and philosophical moral teachings and ethical and moral concepts Obtains information about the ethical considerations of islamic philosophers, today’s valid islamic moral theories and some selected texts on this topic. Gains the ability to understand the basic issues of moral philosophy,to examine these issues from different philosophical perspectives and to understand and recognise necessary resources

Aim(s) of Course |

The aim of the course is to enable the students to grasp the importance of qualified ethical behaviour in the framework of Islamic Ethics Philosophy, the place and importance of morals for human and community and to gain a point of view of moral concepts, value, principle, justice, responsibility and rules.The course also aims to provide the students with the ability to assess the moral and political theories that have emerged in the history of Islamic thought in an analytic approach and to gain the power of philosophical analysis on social moral issues. |

The course covers the place and importance of ethics in human life ,the philosophical analysis of ethics, the relationship between ethics and the other diciplines such as religion, law, politics and economics, the explanation of ethical concepts, values, and rules. the definition of ethical punishment, responsibilty and the analysis of social ethics matters . |
