Aim(s) of Course : To introduce the basic concepts and modes of Turkish Folk Literature

Course Contents : General terms and features of anonymous folk literature, introduction of folk songs, analysing an example poem in folk songs, introduction to laments and an example analysis of a poem, introduction to lullabies and an example analysis of a poem in Turkish Folk Literature, aruz wezni, analysing Sufi Literature in the Turkish Folk Poems, introduction to twisters, proverbs and idioms.
