To know the purpose of writing of classical sources of of History of Islamic Sects as well as their features To know, classify and compare the major sorces of Kharijiyya, Murjia, Mutazila, Shi’a, and Sunni schools To know the stages of the historiography of History of Islamic Sects and compare its periods To explain the importance of texts of Islamic sects as a source of knowledge To define the basic concepts and terms in texts of Islamic sects To identify the rhetoric of Islamic sects as well as their style and the method of writing To analyse the position of the texts of History of Islamic Sects within the larger frame of Islamic thought

The genesis of the tradition of Makalat and Milal-Nihal; The classical sources of of History of Islamic Sects and their features; the narration of "73 Fırka" and its effects on historiography of Islamic Sects; Some of the traditions of Makalat such as Kharijiyya, Murjia, Mutazila and Shia, and their important figures; Historiography of Islamic sects from the beginning of the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey; Reliability problem in the majör sources of Islamic Sects |
