Aim(s) of Course : At the end of the course, students are expected to have mastered the basics of research methodology and submit a full scientific report on the research they have carried out on a specific topic

Course Contents : This is an introductory course in social science research methods. It is designed to introduce the students to the basic concepts and problems encountered in social scientific investigation, including types of data and measurement, sampling, probability, and research design. This course will emphasize the importance and limitations of theory in social science research and will be supported by the analyses of scientific research articles to help the students learn and practise both the required steps and the use of academic English.
